On Saturday October 10th, 2020, Rena Whittaker was honored with the Liberty & Hope Award by the LMV, League of Minority Voters fights for the advancement of minority voters’ rights within the electoral process through education, empowerment, and bringing a voice to the issues that uniquely impact communities of color. They are a 501c3 not-for-profit organization dedicated to empowering minority voices in community and government, as well as serving as a liaison between communities of colors, policy leaders and institutions.
Rena said, “Saturday, I was incredibly honored and humbled to have received recognition for my work in empowering all voices to be raised in love and respect.
This is especially critical in our younger generations! It is time to unite not divide. We are all part of one race, the HUMAN RACE and even if we disagree…we can find ways forward in meaningful and transformative conversations and actions. Nothing happens over night, rather it is a series of one-degree shifts that create change. Wishing you all Peace, Compassion, Abundance and Grace!
We can do this together!”
